Inquiry

Our topic is Enlighten Me about Science. We are learning what things do and how they work. First we made an observational drawing and labelled the parts. Next week we are going to make our own hats. 

Geometry

This week in Room 2 we are learning about 3D shapes. We tried to make a cuboid with straws and blutak. It was very hard but we know that it has 12 sides and 8 corners. 

Anzac Day Exploration and Creation

Room 2 celebrated Anzac Day with discovery day activities including making poppies and Anzac biscuits. 

Numeracy

We are using games and activities to help us with our numeracy skills.

Recounts

This week we blew Bubbles...then we wrote all about experiences. We discussed what bubbles looked like and felt like. We came up with amazing descriptions like "it felt like a water grenade bursting on my arm".

A Wizard comes to visit!

Writing

We are learning to write Recounts in Rm 2. We are doing things like making popcorn so we can recount the experience! It's important to watch and listen so we can add lots of detal to our writing.
